I'm putting a Shure vertical bar on a lightstand, either the one with the 1/4" male mount or the the one with the 3/8" male mount.
(one's the Amvona the other is the 3373)
What's the best way to adapt these ?
Bogen adapt-o-nuts (or whatever they call them) ?
This has got to be sturdy enough for a pair of TLs w/ the bar or an S.P. LSD2, which I think is the same mount.
Thanks in advance.

Easy, just get a 1/4 or 3/8 -> 5/8 adapter & yer all set.

to give you an idea.
Camera shops have been rumored to have them, as well as your local Guitar Center.

FWIW, I suggest getting this ^
I'm a little paranoid about using a 1/4">5/8" adapter. The thought of the weight of LD mics/Shure vert bar on that tiny 1/4" brass stud makes me nervous about it snapping.
The above adapter it's 3/8" and the stud is steel.
You can find them at the micsupply link provided above...

I just ordered one from mic supply over the weekend. $20 shipped w/ 5/8 adapter. I went the camera store/guitar store route and found zilch.

i may eventually do the adapter like tim suggests, but now i'm using the 1/4>3/8 and 3/8>5/8 adapters. i'm using it with the ld's and it works fine
