and i cant resist. why not just buy a jb3 at this point. it probably wont be much difference in cost than to have your deck overhauled. creative has brand new and refurbs on ebay for 150 and 140

only requires a usb or firewire port. no soundcard required whatsoever. there are "demo's" of every program out there. and you could use audacity to do everything anyways, and it is FREE

i thought i was like that too. i backup to flac discs, and a master dvd-r with the entire show in flac. and i BT most all of my tapes or give copies the artists, so there is always a copy out there

il hold your hand if you want me too :-*

i can BT anything you want if you get me flac/shn discs also. im ore than happy to do that

This is one of the reasons I haven't sold my DA-P1. I still want to make "back-up" tapes of shows that I do, so as I'm recording shows on the Deva, I'm doing a rough 2 channel mix to the DA-P1. It's just a habit that is hard to break.

it's starting to make a funny noise when it loads, that's all at the moment. I have the
2 d8's still but like to keep their use to a minimum.

to tell the truth my goal is to win the gear slut of the year award so if I can find
another p1 w/low hours at a good price i'm gonna buy it.can you tell I'm trying
to stay away from the whole HD thing as long as I can?  :P
