Title: hmmm...upgrading the firmware and problem
Post by: karmapolice on December 04, 2004, 11:03:50 PM
This is not my day....I bought a used jb3 and it had an old 1.11.07 operating system so I downloaded the latest but when it asked to reset player and put a straightened paper clip in back I cannot feel anything that it makes contact with inside.  So now I cannot get it to reset.

Help please!

thanks

frustrated newbie

Well perhaps the reset mechanism is broken?  So just pulled out the batteries instead and restarted.

the reset button is pretty far up in there, pretty much against the top of the unit.  i'm not sur if there is a collar directing you to the button, but i use a safety pin and never have a problem.  get a couple of pins and pin them to your taping bag for in field 'oh shit' situations.
