I need a dvd player for my computer here at work, I just got a pioneer dvd burner, and it came with no software. I have all the software i need to copy dvds (for backup purposes only) but i don't have anything to play them on.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think the latest Microsoft MediaPlayer / RealPlayer support playing DVD , otherwise you can try VLC : http://www.videolan.net/
