99cents buy it now with $3.50 shipping = $5
damn...looks like these things are all over the place...I was thinking that it was something specific to the JB3 so I was always looking for "JB3 Accessories"
i got mine locally at the computer store for like $6.
Bean, I just bought us one. We've been talking about getting one to swap sources forever...
yep, its been forever :) suite alex, ive been meaning to get one forever
only thing is, if were both taping, how will we know whos set is whos ???
You know, I was just thinking of that this second! Lemmie brainstorm...

we could literally set our time offset by ten minutes or something, or even a day :)
Ya, maybe I could just set my time like five hours back or somthing, cause I never need the time for any reason anyway...

me neither, wonder if it would change the written files time tho, i doubt it actually :P
umm, is there a way to save it in a diff directory m,aybe?
Yea, I bet there is, becuase what you record goes into your "recorded files" folder, I bet we could make a different one to put them in... Ill have to do some experimenting with my jb3s...
The filename has the timestamp in it, so just don't stop your decks at the exact same time.

that will be too damn confusing! It wil be bean all spun, and me trying to figure out which second each one stoped their recording ;)

hey, spun means on psychadelics alex ;)
i just like to have a few drinks and puff ;D 8)
but yeah, thats too confusing, besides, wed have diff timestamps anyway because i doubt HIGHLY are times are exact on the jb3 ;)
that's one thing about the jb3 that I don't like...that you can't rename files without aid of the computer.

$50 says you couldn't stop on exactly the same timestamp if you tried.

oh i know brian, but for real, it would seem difficult :)
i may just put my timestamp a day ahead or behind, becasue its useless after it leaves the jkb3 anyway

Thats not the problem really, the problem is figuring out (once you get home) who stoped theirs at 2:13:31:014 and who stoped theirs at 2:13:32:428 you know what I mean? ;)
why don't you two chuckleheads just say something at the end of the tape, you know band, date, venue, source....
or is that just too simple? :P
;)

it's the lo-tech soloution to a high-tech problem. :)
would be easy if you were swapping tapes. Bean's would be the one with drool on it. ;D

So How's this jb3 > jb3 thing work?
I've got the cable, this idea will REALLY help me and my local jb3-ers out..
Could someone give me the scoop?
I don't really understand how the jb3's would recognize each other without the use of a pc/software etc.
Thanks!
-Mike
i would like to know also. i dont understand how we would transfer jb3 > jb3 even if we had them hooked via firewire/usb
Guys, guys...you oughta know by now. Check the FAQ!
that link in the faq isn't workin' for me.. could someone post the info?
thanks so much!

The link to the thread? Opening the FAQ (http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=16338.0) is just like reading any other post. Lemme know precisely which link isn't working and I'll try to fix it.
to make it easier...it is topic # 120 on the jb3 FAQ 8)
if you have 1.4.... firmware, you connect via firewire, scroll to file you want and then scroll to send track
yep, find what file you want to 'transfer' and simply push in the scroll button and hit 'send' :)
tim's idea is the answer. before (or after) every gig, I will say "Bean likes the cock" into bean's mics, and "Swampy has sand in his vagina" into swampy's mics. Problem solved.
