Title: Tripod Info
Post by: bl6216@yahoo.com on December 23, 2004, 01:28:44 AM
I just got a Canon Digital Rebal And I am looking for a good carbon fiber tripod. I most of the time take my camera all over with me and need it to be porterbull and can fit in a good size bag. I wass looking at tripods by Bogen and Gitzo. If you can help I would be very grateful.

you realize for a really good carbon fiber tripod you may end up spending a ton of money.  You will start out around 250 bucks and move up from there for the bells and whistles.

let me ask a more important question- what kind of shooting are you doing that you'd like a tripod for?

I do most of my shooting in two places. Some in small clubs and the most out in the woods when I am snowboading and camping so I would love it to be very lite. So it don,t hold me  back. I was thing going with bogen becouse I use them for my mic stand and love it.

gitzo and bogen are part of the same company.  I'm not sure of the exact relationship, but gitzo is the higher-end professional line.  check out the reviews section at fredmiranda.com, most of them are reviewed there.
