Is there a difference between a digital coaxial cable (with RCA connectors) and a standard RCA audio cable?
I got a new (cheap) DVD player (Toshiba SD3960) that does not have digital optical output. I have several Toslink cables lying around the house, but no coaxial. I also have several RCA audio cables. Can I use use one of these audio cables, or is there something special about digital coaxial cables?

yes, you can use the audio rca cables for relatively short runs w/o any issues.
