Richard, based on our results 2ith the 312 and the 276, you should be good to go. passive optical splitters are to be avoided, but a powered one should be fine.

What's your application?

Post by: fozzy on December 31, 2004, 08:08:39 PM: looks like a suitable device, don't think anyone here runs one but thier other converters have been tested to be bit perfect. Looks like a good solution if you need two optical signals. They are kind of a pain because they use 9v. I love my 276. just rigged up a PT5045 circuit so i can run 9v off of my normal 7.2v system.

Richard, I'm a little confused. It seems like you're referring to two different devices.

I have been an analog taper since the late 70's, (skipped dat, got JB3 early Dec.). I'm a patcher so I want to have the proper equipment so I'm not a burden to folks with mics. I have a 276 on the way, so I have that covered. I just don't want to be a hog with the feed. So with a splitter of some kind, I can share the feed with another patcher. So my Question is, What would be better, 1. a coax barrel splitter in front of the 276 or 2. The hosa fiber optic slitter behind the 276. Thanks, Richard

better to run the coax splitter taking one leg for yourself. this way you don't have to carry another box of the battery for it
