Title: Signal Converter Box Question involving the jb3
Post by: Flynn on January 06, 2005, 06:45:29 PM
OK so here is the thing. I will be useing the Nomad jb3 for patching only....

Which box would be better suited for what I would like to do???

A Coax>Opti converter box, or...

the aes>opti converter box.

Is one any better than the other??? I would also like to be able to pass the signal along down the line. Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance everybody

if you're merely patching, the HOSA coax>optical converter box is what you want to get.  It will not let you pass a signal on to others, but the addition of a coax splitter willl.

Coax (spdif) is the standard for digital signal transmission at shows, AES is less common
