Ok I had one of these for some reason and I never use it.

Gonna swipe some parts to build a very adjustable t-bar. The long bar with the alligator clips on each end to be more specific.....that bar is too small to fit in a shockmount so I need to make it bigger. Playing with the idea of filling a short section of PVC, with the metal bar suspended through the middle, and filling that with something......just not sure what would be best. Would silicone harden enough to hold the metal bar in place once it dried?
Not sure if that makes sense or not.

Here's my thinking on the keeping it immobile while it sets up.
Put caps on each end of the PVC. Drill holes in the ceters just big enough to slip the metal bar through. Start with one cap on and the bar in...fill with epoxy from the open end and then cap that end. Just have to do some good testfitting/adjusting to get enough of the metal bar protuding from the PVC shell so the swivel ends have enough room to do their 'magic'.

Here's a quick snapshot....the bands will hold the bar pretty tight if you put a twist in them but I think adding the PVC would make it real sturdy.

edit: And no...the ribbon clippings aren't mine.
