Title: backwards schoeps (stupid question)...

just wondering cuz i cant afford and thus dont know much about those fancy schoeps mics, what are the ones that ive seen both in person and in pics which are mounted on a kwon in seemingly ortf fashion but facing away from the stage? omnis?

Those are CCMxV or MKxV caps.  They're side-address caps.  Easy to see the side-address (http://www.schoeps.de/E-2004/cardioids.html#mk4v) v. end-address (http://www.schoeps.de/E-2004/cardioids.html#mk4).

ahhh got it now. makes perfect sense. good cuz it was really keeping me up at night  :P ok maybe i should go to bed...
