Have fun taping!

Some of your prices seem rather high. The JB3 @ $175? Though they are not listed, give creative a call and see if they have anymore. You might get lucky. They were charging around $130 - $140 for them. You should also be able to find a stand for much cheaper than $43. If you can be convinced that a 9' can serve your needs, then can be had for $10 - $20.

One suggestion.... Buy as much as possible from one place so you can minimize shipping.

If you are getting small diam mics (which the SC-T are) then Superlux shockmounts should only be $6 each according to the supplier's page. Even if you got both HM30 and HM32 pairs, I don't see where you are coming up with $50.

Great advice. I'd be careful ordering small stuff from Sonic Sense...their shipping is *pricey*, even on accessories. I got the T-bar from atomicmary.com for just over $20 shipped but they don't sell the Windtech clamp. I see prices down to $11.75 for the Windtech at enggadgets.com, though I've never ordered from them...

basic windtech clamps are $7 at b&h
cheap decent shocks can be had for way less, www.tensimount.com, www.shockmount.com
extra ua-5 bats, go with ebay ~20 for used or refurb. memorex dvd-u2003 should work too. search for portable dvd rechargeable or something like that

I bought velcro ones for like $2 from K-Mart.

thanks a lot for the suggestions so far!!!
I priced the shocks at 50 for 2 pairs, 2 extra sets of rubber shock bands, and shipping....(i usually price everything a lil high so I don't have any shockers when I order) lol
and I'll check out B&H's clamps
anymore suggestions???

if b&h shipping is high..PM me and i'll gladly go to the store and get anything you want and ship it with no handling fees. always open offer for anyone. i just like excuses to go to b&h

Since this is a new rig and your building that wire frame to get everything mounted, I would strongly recommend that you go with the velcro ties for as much as makes sense. When you hit the field and have to disassemble your prewired rig to work out some bug, you aren't going to want to be fumbling with wire cutters in a tight and poorly lit section.

RS car adapter for jb3 battery Radioshack 20
I got my 2000ma car adapter from Walmart for about $14. Seeing as your going there anyways you can save a few bucks there too.

Id suggest you get the roll of velcro tape that I got from lowes. Its quite convenant and it comes in a 12 foot more than enough for anything you want to do.

I stumbled upon the B&H store while staying around the corner. I bet I went in that place 10 times in two days.I just couldn't believe how much stuff they had.

Their catalog is damn ridiculous! Its a frickin book. Ithought it was going to break the mailbox off my house!

the store is even more rediculous. the whole thing is a maze of conveyor belts and over head bin carring systems. nothing is kept on the floor. its all in a giant stock room downstaris and it comes up when you tell them what you want. and to top it all off, the majority of the staff is hassidic jews. :) funny place
