It appears the latest iTunes update has broken my jb3 connectivity. It will still show up fine in iTunes, but I can't play any of the tracks or transfer the tracks to my computer. I'm currently in search of the previous version and I can let you know if I find anything.
So yeah, don't update!

Well I found 4.7.0, and it's working again. If anyone downloaded 4.7.1 and wants to go back, let me know and I can send you the old one.

Thanks for the warning, I already fucked up my ipod because I updated it and it was formatted for windows, doh. So i dont wanna fuck up my jb3

Well it wont actually mess up your JB3, you just wont be able to transfer files. ;)

So give me the details on the past transfer process with 4.70 could you build a file in the library and burn to AIFF ? please give me the details. I'm ready to jump to jb3 as long as I can work with mac cause I don't plan on changing that part of my life. I just checked my version and it updated so I may be looking to step back. I've done quit a few seaches on the whole jb3>mac thing and it just seems like it's a kharma thing :-\ No real definate answers.

I don't really understand your question. Build a file in the library?
The iTunes plugin for the JB3 allows you to drag the recordings from the JB3 to your Mac using iTunes. I'm not sure exactly how it's a karma thing, it works for me (and everyone else I know with the mac/jb3 combo) every time.
Only downside is that it wont work with firewire, only USB. So transfers are kind of slow, but they're still 100% reliable.
