http://www.vibrapod.com/
I have seen these mentioned on a couple of sites, but no definitive reviews. My new stand is designed with rounded bottom to the legs (instead of spiked feet, to protect the floor), but I am curious if anyone has any thoughts as to the use of something like this under my transport...

They look enough like hockey pucks that that oughta do something for you, though ;)
that was the only redeeming feature I could find without someone chiming in with experience :D
Thanks Moke...+T

There's a lot of DIY options out there too..
Splitting a raquetball ball, or very ingenious one of using halved pop cans... Do a google for DIY isolation pads maybe? Not sure what you call those doodads :P

i have walker points and they make my dvd player look a little better, but i notice it more on dvd-a's. sounds a little better. makes for a ncie convo piece too, though i think im overkill on the points.
i have points on my billy bags stand which has a center isolation piece and then my amp, pre, and transport all have points under tham. As does my VPI scout :)

still not convinced that vibration pads aren't snake oil but found these reviews...

I'm fairly anti-tweak, but I did buy a few of them a while back. The difference under components was subtle, but the biggest improvement came from using them under a video projector. The picture was sharper since it wasn't vibrating as much from the cooling fans.
They're cheap enough that you can experiment without breaking the bank. They come in different weight classes, so check before you buy.

I run the cones (not the pads) under my DVD player. I couldnt tell you if they actualy make it sound better...I just believe in the principle. And for $24 / per set. how can you go wrong?
Will I add the pads too for another $24 ? probably.
:)
I like cheap tweaks.
