Title: wierd BT stuff
Post by: John R on January 18, 2005, 10:54:32 AM
I'm in the middle oif the JGB torrents(5/31 & 6/1/83) running one on each of my computers.  On my lappy(wireless) i'm now a seeder for 5/31, on my desktop(ethernet) i'm a leecher.  The wierd thing is, the tracker for my desktop says I'm firewalled and I'm not for the lappy.  The d-link router is port forwarded w/6881-6999, and I turned off the window's firewall on the desktop, stopped the torrent, restarted the computer(windows firewall still off) and the tracker still shows me as firewalled.  I really don't want to be a drain/hinderance to the system, and want to DL asap so i can seed.  What could be the issue?  Anywhere else i should look?

Thanks

You need two separate port ranges open. One for the lappy, one for the desktop. Port forwarding doesn't work when two computers want to go through the same port range.
Hope this fixes your problem.  ;D
