OK so I have a M1 and a G4 to tape with. I'm thinking about selling the M1 and picking up the DAP-1. It's been so long since I picked the M-1 over the DPA-1. Whats the pros and cons of the DPA. I like it b/c it fits in the sonic sense case better. I don't stealth anything, so I don't have to worry about that. I don't want to tape with the G4 b/c I don't want it to get messed up so that's out. How much can I get for the M1 and how much does the DPA-1 cost? Also what can the DPA-1 do that a M-1 can't? Right now the rig looks like this mc012>ua-5>m1. Does it even make sense to think about picking up the dpa-1?
thanks,
mark

if the m1 is in good shape I would stick with it. only real difference is size and the dap1 has full size heads which is very nice imo. but like I said if already have a m1 in good shape stick with it. that being said I bought a new dap1 2 and 1/2 years ago and have already switched to a JB3. oh and wtf is a G4??

A G4 is a apple laptop, I think.

The G-4 is an Apple tower that was introduced when they went to the first version of OSX. I own a G-4 with Dual 833 processors. It is faster than a Pentium 1.8 G.
And for all those who poo poo MAcs a man in the software industry dropped this fact on me: 95% of most entertainment media ( games, music/TV production, professional photo/printing) is created using Macs ( or SGI if it's EArts games). Of course, their market is pretty narrow which is why 95% of the world owns/works with PC's.

It is also a powerbook laptop.

both are good decks that have their own special advantages.
I love my trashcan, never did me wrong. Love all the input and output options and full size heads, it is larger than the M1, but still light weight.
