Title: Problem on playback
Post by: twoodruff on February 03, 2005, 04:39:02 PM
ok right now I am running vr-1 speakers into a mccormack dna 0.5 amp into a y-s
audio symphonies + pre with a lucid 24/96 DAC. Upon playback, when I crank it, the dna shuts down, whats the dealio?

does it have an automatic protect mode? on almost all (all?) of the power amps I was around while doing live sound the amps would go into an automatic shutdown or protect mode if they were being clipped too hard.

so it only does this when you play music loudly?

hmmmmmm

Is this a new problem?  Did it just start when you added the VR-1's?

the mccormack is 100 watts per channel and the speakers are 100 watts continuous music (200 watts per channel peak).
