Title: JB3 error/what does it mean?
Post by: charles on February 03, 2005, 06:46:21 PM
Can someone give me some information on the following:

Unit charged up and powered up but initialized to "Rescue Mode V1.00" which gives you these options: Clean up, Format All, Reload OS, and Reboot.

Is this a fixable error? Has anyone dealt with this before? Any info would be very helpfull. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen one go into rescue mode on its own. Did you use a pin or paperclip and press the reset button on the bottom?

If you pick reboot does it go right back to rescue mode?

I'd just do the clean-up and see if it will boot normally. It will not affect anything on the drive.

If it does not boot normally after the clean-up, you'll have to try the other options, and you'll lose data.

Well....I should have clarified....it's not mine...it's an auction....I was just curious if it was an easily fixable problem....I can't test any further since I don't posses the jb3. Sorry for not making that clear.

No problem.

It could be a drive issue, so unless it is very cheap bid carefully.
