how hard is it?
i remember when I bought/signed up for nomad I had to register it online etc...
should I be able to just copy the program file from my desktop>CDr>Laptop and install it there?
thanks in advance for any info....

I was able to just down load it from the site again. I saved the confirmation email they sent me and entered in the transaction number to download on another computer. Im pretty sure you can have the confirmation email resent to you.

I got their stuff to work on my work machine just fine - I have online access there. At home, I do not and the codes I've been given for the work machine don't work at home. They haven't responded to my queries, but I've been really lazy about following up.
I also had issues because I have 2 nomads. They had to add the second nomad to my account for it to work with both.
Why can't they just sell me an install disc so I can use it anywhere. The original Nomad software sucks, but I can install and use my noamd on any machine.

The Universal Edition will allow you to use Notmad with [1] any Nomad device on [2] any PC (but maybe only after registering the devices on each PC). I think. Maybe.

your notmad registration is per user, not computer. you just need to reregister it with them everytime you put it on a new box. one anomoly(sp?) that came up with me was to make sure the clock was accurate. some wierd shit. if i can dig it up, i'll post the emails from them regarding it.

all you'll need to have/do:
Hi John,
If you're talking about the registration token, it
doesn't matter if that changes. You will need your
transaction ID to activate, which is: xxxx...
In reply to your question, yes you can use the software
on any number of computers.
Cheers,
Crimson

When you buy Notmad, they register your Nomad. So you can install it on any PC but you can only use 1 nomad with it per copy you purchased. I've put Notmad on all of my PCs, including at work, but they only work with my Nomad, nobody else's. You should keep a copy of your transaction ID because that's how they know it's you.

and, if you own multiple jb3's, you need to go 'universal'
from crimson:
Here's how we normally handle second activations. If
the other player is owned or primarily used by another
person, he/she must buy their own license.
We do make an exception for households. If the other
unit is for yourself, a spouse, or son or daughter, you
don't need to buy a second full license. You can get
coverage under the Universal Edition license.
To upgrade to Universal, log into your account on our
website and you'll see a link to the upgrade page.
