Title: Suggestions on a good external 250gb HD ?
Post by: Tye on February 16, 2005, 04:51:42 PM
This 40gb Gateway I have is killing me between the programs on it and the shows I upload I never have any space left.
I have been looking at a couple diffrent 250bg externals but it seems like they all have diffrent specs. What is a good one for about $200 ? Any thoughts or ideas?
                 Thanks

I would recommend buying an external hard drive enclosure for use with a standard desktop hard drives.  These are usually cheaper.

gotta agree with that idea, I picked up a high quality Belkin external enclosure for $80, and found a 160 gig internal HD on sale, and paid less for that setup than I would have for a large external. Plus, being able to swap HD's in the enclusore or put in a CDRW drive if you ever need to is really nice.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I ended up finding a 160gb internal for $49.95 after rebates!
