Title: static after resampling....
Post by: jessedscott on February 21, 2005, 11:15:30 PM
I'm getting static, maybe digi static after I resample. It's not on my JB3 and it isn't on my D8 recording either( I run both). What might be wrong here? using magix audio cleaning lab for resample and tracking. never had aproblem before...

thanx, jess

had this problem once... it only occurred when dithering & was constrained to the same place in the recording. When I looked at the 24-bit version there were some huge spikes in the waveform but they didn't create any noise. When dithered to 16 bit the spikes came across as some really nasty noise.

I believe I fixed it by reducing the gain on the spikes by a few db then redithered.... static didn't come back.
