Title: JB3 wont turn on unless i remove the internal battery

so on two occaisions now when i am using it in my car it shuts off and wont turn back on unless i remove the internal battery and then everyting is fine. It comes back on and plays right in the middle of the song it left off on. is this common??

i have had mine not turn on before, but that was only after someone, who will remain nameless, shoved the batteries in it upside down.

i know it wasnt me andy, but i have done that myself.
