Title: Help w/ timing on a post matrix w/ Wavelab 5
Post by: charles on March 03, 2005, 05:53:14 PM
Anybody got any tips on getting the timing right when putting together a matrix w/ Wavelab 5.0. I'm pretty familiar w/ Wavelab, but this is my first time venturing into the world of matrix. Could use any help I can get. Thanks.

here's how i've done it (i assume this is and aud + sbd matrix):

-leave the aud as one long track
-chop up the sbd into individual tracks
-create a new montage
-it should start as a 1 track montage, add a second track
-open up the aud file in track 1
-in track 2, right click and add the first sbd track.  try to find a peak to line up the tracks.  you can then drag and move it around to adjust it.  as you zoom in closer, you can work in closer detail.
-once you get it set, add the next track at the end and move it around, continue until complete
-you'll have to mess with the settings to get rid of the cross-fades that will automatically appear each time you add a track in track 2.

you'll get the feel for it after a while, it takes some patience.  also, this is all from memory, i definitely could've missed something but this is the basic method i've used.
