Title: installed my firewire card ???

so I just installed my firewire card.  when I boot up it says new hardware found.   then I get a hardware install error.  says it couldn't install.  the card is supposed to work for xp and everything else I have.  any thoughts as to why this happened?

just unistalled and reinstalled and the samething happened.   ???

Does it walk you through the hardware install wizard?  Did you load the drivers that came with the card?
Are there more current drivers for your card available on the net?
