Title: flac encoding problem?
Post by: leehookem on March 13, 2005, 06:09:38 PM
I am in the process of encoding my files of the JB3 into flac format for archiving on DVD.  I am encoding the entire file (uncut, untracked).  During the encoding process it gives me a warning:  skipping unknown sub-chunk.  Then it does continue to say Verify OK.

Is this a problem that I should be concerned with?

i think it turned out allright. flac says the same here when i saved wav files from wavlab. it's i think how the headers are writtin within the wave file. as i open up the wav in SF and save it again there i don't get that message while encoding with flac.

no worrries, i get this all the time, all it is doing is stripping the header of information that was
added by a particular audio program that is unnecessary for everything else
