Hey guys,
1 quick question conerning the powering of the nakamichi cm-100. I have included the picture detailing what I am talking about. Now, I recently purchased a set of cm-100 and they have the same rubber adapters that are pictured below on the AA battery. Is this a viable way to power the cm-100 (using the adapters to run the AA)? I thought the 9v was the only option as far as batterys are concerned. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

the CM100's are indeed powered by AA 1.5v batts. As to wether or not you can power them w/ the same 9v that the CM300's use, I don't know. Since they use the same caps, you'd think so... I'm sure someone that knows for sure will chime in.

Thanks Scott +T

That's one of the perks of running CM-100's...you don't have to spend money on those annoying 9v round batteries.
And yes, you would use the spacers for the AA batteries in the CM-100's. My CM-300's came with spacers as well, but they were originally used for the now defunt mercury batts back in the '80's.
Hope that helps!

though, you have to use the 9v if you want to run the guns w/ the cm100's.

Are you sure? I have heard this fact, but my friend ran his guns with AA's at last year's Bonnaroo.
So confused ???

They prolly worked, just not at their peak cause of the low voltage.

Thanks for all the info, +T's all around

BUT, it is impossible to run the CM-300's (even with the cp1 caps) on a AA battery, right??
-
try it and see. It shouldn't hurt anything if the polarity is right...

I will right now...crossing my fingers that this works. if so, it'll save me hundreds

the naks won't be working up to there full potential at 1.5v... Specs will be down somewhat.
