Title: Need some editing help
Post by: blu666z on March 14, 2005, 01:35:40 PM
I have not reinstalled Soundforge or any other sounding editing program since I rebuilt my computer a few months ago.  I have several shows that I would like to get out so I am looking for someone who could add some fades to them.  I would probably just wait until I tracked down a copy of SF but these shows are using the new JKLabs box for the ATs.  Really like to get these out to the guys on Team AT.

You could track down a copy of Audacity in the time it takes to d/l 2.4MB.  :)

Do you know if the Waves plugins work with Audacity?

I know it supports LADSPA and VST plug-ins (http://audacity.sourceforge.net./about/features), not sure what kind of plug-in Waves is.   :-\  At any rate, no plug-ins required for fades, but I suspect you want to use additional features for other recordings.

My waves bundle is VST, I do believe - should work.

Shaweet.  I had completely forgotten about Audacity.  Guess I can finally catch up on my transfers.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to run the plugins.  I installed Waves into the Plugins folder of Audacity and also installed the VST plugin.  Can't find any menu option to run them though.

Yeah, that's the pain.  I've never used Audacity before, so I can't be of much help... is there a plugin manager or something?  I know with sf, you have to have htem in a certain folder, and then go into sf and install them inside (I think...).  It was a pain to get them working in both soundforge and logic when I tried.
