Is this software any good? Bestbuy has it for 69 bucks, looks like it's SF7. But the cheap price is throwing me off. Will it convert 48K to 44? They have another called Acid Music Studio 5.

It must be a lite version.
I've got sf7 and it does not say 'audio studio' on the splash screen.
If you use this site's search function and look for sound forge 7 you'll be rewarded for the effort.

I used the trial version of both(for basic stuff..)...and to honest...I couldn't tell what the difference was...?

looks like audio studio is a trimmed down version of SF7, also called screenblaster. BIG diff is it's only 16/48. I only need it for 48 to 44 conversion, fades and level adjusting, and I can't find a good enough description to see if it will do it. But it should, no?

I swear I used it for 48>44...cant recall...but I think that was the exact reason I d'led it...

OK. Got it running. Does everything I need so far, 48 to 44 and track marks and fades. What about normalizing and boosting levels in either channel? I'm a complete idiot when it comes to fixing recordings.

I think the L/R selector tool works the same way...your mouse/cursor will become a little L or R...
