i got a JB3 today and i am testing it out. but i can not hear what i am taping. is there a way to do this through head phones. I do not find a setting to allow this and when i put headphones in i do not hear anything.

Are you certain the JB3 is getting signal?
assuming you are plugged into the headphone jack on the right side of the JB3...
You should only have to push the + and - buttons on the right of the JB3 (they have a little speaker on it...)
A little meter will show up on the screen...

i am plugged into the right side and I am getting nothing.
i can hear what i recorded after i hit stop. but while i am recording i can not hear anything

mmm...that doesnt sound right...
I looked at my "Jukebox Settings" and I dont see any option to disable the headphones...(using the 1.3 version of the firmware)
Might be a problem...

but i do not think there is a problem with the headphone jack itself cause i can listen and play back what is on thr JB3. i
should i try to get a firmware update and if so where do i find those?

nothing..oh well..guess i will just watch the levels and see what comes out

I am getting the same problem. I have tried line out it doesn't seem to work there either. It works perfectly after I record in both slots, but just not during recording.

I'll put money on it--you probably have to upgrade your firmware for it to work.

Unlikely this is the issue, but did you set "Monitor Recording" to ON when you started? I'm using the latest BIOS version (1.44 or something?). I am using Shure E2 in-ear monitors to listen while recording. I need better monitors though. E2's just don't reveal the higs. The also don't isolate well enough. Maybe some ear molds...

Ok. Well my problem is fixed. The first thing was I wasn't running the mic right. Then there was the upgrading the firmaware. That put everything in a whole new light. Thanks to all.
