Bean, I'm looking for any reference to taping California condor calls in the wild... can you do a search for me and see what's on the site for the best shock mount for a Shure SM-89 mounted on a jack ass?

Thanks Bro! ;)

I'm sorry :P

could i maybe hit you up on that offer for a thread adapter.  i've been wanting to buy one but can't find one locally and the shipping is like $6 or something rediculous.

With that clamp Bean, what else would I need if I was clamping on a stand, and using a Vert Bar and I wanted it to be vertical, not horizontal as the picture appears it would have to be?

it'll go vertical.  there's a place to put your vertbar in on the sides and top.  so you can run on a horzontal bar and still have the vert bar vertical or on a stand have it vertical.

Oh, ok, they just aren't showing that in the picture I guess, right? Thanks!

just losen the screw thing on the right and then the adapter on the front will pop out and you can put it in the hole on the top, theres another hole on the other side.

Where can i get a good one for the best price.

Which one is a good one depends on why you want it.  Do you want to clamp strictly to stands?  Or also railings?  And tables?  Etc.?  Define your purpose, and only then will the feedback be appropriate.  And the answer may be 2 clamps!

Good points Brian. Is the one Bean mentioned good for rails, or is it too small? I think it states it go fit on 1.25" think items....doesn't seem like that would work with wider rails.

For the most part i will be using it with other stands. Ive never had a reason to clamp any where else. Thanik U and +ts all around.

Too small for wider rails, yes.  I've found the Bogen SuperClamp indispensable for clamping to non-stand structures - railings, tables, pipes, lighting fixtures, you name it.

I think this one is better than the Windtech.  Its made by Bogen.  All you need is a Rapid Adapter.

Ditto, on the Super Clamp.

I have used both of these clamps.  Rock solid, and very versatile for your clamping needs.

I picked up a Bogen Superclamp at National Camera & Video Exchange (national chain?) on Saturday. It fuggin' owns! It's super fast and easy to use, opens like 2.5" and holds over 30 pounds. All for $35. Get one! 8)

Word! ;)
Bogen SuperClamp is all that and a bag of chips too!  nothing compares to it when clamping to anything other than a stand, but on a stand its sorta heavy when you add the mics and a t bar.  if your gonna stand clamp go with the b&h clamp.  thats what im gonna do, thans for the link bean.  +t  ;D
