probably, but you're definitely better off picking up a smart charger for the nimh batteries.  I don't believe the stock sony charger uses this technology and you're batteries will all run better if properly charged.

I've used a maha c204f (?) for a few years with great success.  www.thomasdistributing.com sells the maha chargers.

Others are supposed to be good too, do some research on google for nimh smart chargers and see what you find.

4-5 hours with energizer 2500's, with light on.

for some reason I dont' see the Powerex 2200 mAh AA bats I use. I did get them from http://www.thomasdistributing.com/, hmmm?? they have the 2300's now..
