I would like to tape Moe. on Friday at the Ventura theater but on the website they state they have a no taper/photo policy. I was wondering if any one has done any recordings there lately because I know I have a couple shows from early 2000 that came from the Ventura theater. I have contacted the venue and asked them what the policy is if the band allows recordings and no stealth is not a option I can do but I could use a clamp from the balacony. I still would have to smuggle a back pack worth of stuff in regardless of stand or not.
Peace

no problem getting stuff in at a taping allowed show. i'll see you there!

if it's an open taping act there is no problem. walked right in for jason mraz. the venue sounds kinda bad though and if it rains you're fucked as they leve the door open and you'll pick up rain on the tape lol

Is the floor better to tape from then the balacony DFC?

the only stacks in the place are sitting on the ground, nothing hanging, no speakers probably above about 10' off the ground. with that said the higher up and away you are the worse it may come out i'd think

just set up where everyone else will be - in front of the soundboard. definitely don't worry about it. :)

yea, FOB is good. even a little ledge/table you can sit your shit on. just be weary of drunk fucktards that may run into you/your stand
