Hello-
For transfers, I use DAP1 > digital coax > AP2496 > wavelab 4.0. If my dat is 48k, my wavelab locks up and I can't get a signal though. It seems that the AP2496 doesn't like to be changed away from 44.1 either. If the dat is 44.1, there are no problems.
Has anyone else every had this problem?
thanks, wolff ???

I know that Wavelab will error out if the sample rate mismatches, i.e., if your source is 16/48 and you don't have Wavelab set to receive 16/48, it will crap out. I don't use that particular soundcard; but I would ask whether there is a separate control panel for the soundcard that also needs to be configured.

bring up the maudio panel there in the system tray(lower right) and set it to clock to the incoming spdif signal, then open up wavelab and set it to record 16/48, then close it, then open it up again and record. that might help ya...

thanks for the responses. unfortunately, I still can't get things to work. When i did get a signal to get though to wavelab, the time code was faster than the master dat, doesn't seem like everything matches even though all the numbers are 16/48. This is really starting to piss me off. I have so many dats to transfer and my damn system doesn't work.
any other ideas? I've even reinstalled my soundcard and wavelab and everything...

ok, i think i got it. For future reference for anyone else.
I had to go to the AP2496 website, download updated drivers, and reinstall the orignal software cd that came with the card. It was like to a reinstall w/o the card part.
So far so good. ON my 3rd 48k transfer and no probs. Transferring a bunch of Seattle/Skerik projects on bt.etree if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the help on this thread. ;D
