Not sure if everybody saw my other post but Fed-Ex lost my shockmount and tbar that was being shipped back from SoundProfessionals. Now I have to figure out a way to tape North Miss on Friday.
My buddy uses ommnis. He got a nerf football and attached some hooks on the side to hang the mics. I think I can use the football and tape my mics to it. My question is this, I can basically tape my mics on there at any angle but won't be able to get the spacing need for some of the configs I have seen. How will this affect the tape? Hope that made sense.

You could always slap together a set of ghetto mounts... http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=3631;start=msg32087#msg32087 (http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=3631;start=msg32087#msg32087)
Maybe rig up some sort of wooden t-bar to screw these mounts too. When there is a will....
Id definately harrass the hell out of FedEx. :rockets:
If these are the sound pros mini mics, just take them and tape them on top of each other XY on top of the stand....that should give you an acceptable result.
yeah, got on fed ex and get your shit back. besides that...macguyver it as best you can! all you need is a toothpick, some dry ice, and lotsa duct tape.
I'm guessing that you don't have clamps ...
I am thinking getting his football and tape my mics to that will be the best. At least the nerf affords a little shock protection.

Oh yeah and Fed-Ex will be severly harassed.

Man, didn't that Tom Hanks movie Castaway teach you anything about not using Fed-Ex?
Seriously though, that sucks. :(

What if you cut some holes in the nerf football & slip the mics through it?
