I demo-ed the KA-04/KR-2C combo back in 2003, and made about two dozen recordings at a festival paired with a pmod UA-5. I was mostly impressed with their sound, but I had promised the wife I would return them instead of buying. A pair runs about $1350, but if I could get a good deal on a used pair, I'd seriously consider picking them up. Although there's talk of goosenecks, actives, etc., I've yet to see any accessories materialize. Still, there's a good variety of caps, including a diffuse field omni. Not sure how well the 33mm diaphragm capsule would work for PA taping.

first rate mic. very bright and articulate. like a brighter dpa sound, but juicey (as opposed to dpa dry)
