I downloaded SKB 7/4/03 24/48 from the archive - the flacs tested ok - as did the flac md5, but the wav md5 all failed ( 7 files). I tested several 16bit shows - all fine. I am not sure if this is just a bad md5 signature or some problem decoding 24bit files. Any ideas out there? Also, can anyone suggest another 24bit trecording that comes with wav md5s, so I can test tha?. I searched the archive for a while but could not fine one. Thanks all!

I was thinking - the flac frontend has a decode through errors option that can be checked - I have it unkchecked. If my flacs were decompressing badly, would this setting have any effect? If unchecked, and the wavs had errors, the frontend would tell me, and the md5s would fail. Is this correct. I am guessing that since 16bit wavs test fine and there are no decoding errors with 24bit flacs I am fine, but I just do not know for sure?!?!? ??? Someone straighten me out, please!!! ;)

update your flac frontend to the latest version kyle, and never 'decode thru errors'

maybe the md5 name is for the flac files, not the wave. Still got'em?

yes I still have them. There is an md5 for both the flac and wav, i opened them up and the appropriate filenames were there
