Sure...you will need an coaxial to optical convertor, and most likley a splitter so the weary don't get wierded out by new technology.  If you need a convertor with a battery supply, let me know.  I have a greybox and a fostex, though the fostex is probably a little more than you want to spend although far superior!  They both work though!

You could take any analog source too, perhaps if their pre-amp has a spare out and you bring the right cables.  Not ideal but you will walk away with a copy of the show.

Also if your patching from someone running a digi-modded UA-5 and a D7/8 chances are their optical out will be available!

Take care,
Nick

You might want to bring some "patching cables" like 1/4" stereo > 1/8" stereo, or dual RCA > 1/8", dual mono 1/4" > stereo 1/8", etc..  That way you can plug your JB3 into the 1/8" end and then the other connection to the pre-amp or soundboard or something..

The line-in is both for optical and analog signal.  So ya, both the 1/8 plug and the optical line would get shoved in that little hole ;)
