Saw this on the JB3 FAQ, but can't get definitive word:
>>limited Mac support - must transfer via USB instead of Firewire>>
Can the JB3 transfer files to a Mac?? There was some mention here of a driver that is no longer available. Is it not needed for USB transer? Can I get the files off a JB3 to a Mac desktop?Huh
thanks
Mike
I've been using my Mac Powerbook for the past year to handle my transfers from a JB3. At first I used iTunes, but if you have 4.7.1 (I think) then you can no longer do the transfer. But that led me to discover this great new software:

It is MUCH better -- and has worked flawlessly for me over the past month.
Yes, USB is slow compared to firewire (which doesn't appear to be supported at the moment on a Mac for the JB3 transfers) -- but not that bad.
Yeah XNJB is the way to go now. Screw the plugin.

I wouldn't expect support for it at all.
Do you expect that to change (firewire capability)? The reason I ask is because I am planning on buying a MAC within the next month or so, and I really hate that I can't do the fast Firewire transfers, with the machine that has so many Firewire ports.
Ugh, any thoughts?
get over it. it will probably always be usb transfers for the njb3 and Macs.
a 1gb show/set may transfer via firewire in 2-3minutes which is nice, but usb at 5-8 minutes is still not bad for basically and hour show.
