Title: V3>optical>JB3 bit perfect>>>
Post by: coloartist on May 02, 2005, 07:57:47 PM
I have read many threads that say the JB3 used with a CO2 is not bit perfect, but I am still confused.

Brian has done quite a bit of documenting, I'm just trying to sort through it.

I run my V3 optical into my JB3, would that be bit perfect?

I also run my backup V3>spdif>ODL-276>Optical>JB3, would that be bit perfect?

I have never had a problem with either, but I also haven't done any bit testing.

I'm moving to something that can do 24/96 eventually, but I don't see anything that seems to be working perfectly yet, and I am still paying off the gear I have.

Thanks in advance!  :)

the odl-276>jb3 IS def bit-perfect, or at leats NO glitches, ive used one to transfer hundreds of dats to my jb3

and i also have an optimod v3, im sure grace knows what theyre doing, ive had nothing but frantastic results w/both and would use nothing but those 2 options personally

I've tested my V3 optical out > JB3 combo as bit-transparent.  I've also tested my V3 > Hosa ODL-312 > JB3 as bit-transparent.  I do not know of any tests performed V3 > ODL-276 > JB3, but maybe my brain is turning to jello and I just don't remember.  At any rate, the only way to know for certain if your gear combination is bit-transparent:  test it.
