Title: Dynatran light stands
Post by: TeamJa on May 08, 2005, 10:20:07 AM
Anybody see these things on ebay?  Seem pretty cheap.  Just wondering if anyone has used one.  Are there adapters to get from the 5/8 stud to a 5/8 27 thread...thanks.

Yes.  Check the Archive | Mics & Setup forum for a post on mic stands.

it's amazing how the human eye can totally read over important information and waste someone else's time to wake them up...thanks for the patience Brian

I picked one up a month or two ago, used it a couple times. Quick shipment, good guys on eBay. It works fine for the price, if you can stand a fairly large footprint. You will also need a 1/4 -> 5/8 adapter.

i'll second that.  while not the smallest footprint or the most compact, the air-cushioned quality build, for the price (i got mine for under $30) is hard to beat.  the hardest part was getting an adapter, which wasnt really as hard as i made it out to be.

Here's a link to a previous thread about these stands. (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=23889.0)
And here's the manufacturer's webpage (http://www.amvona.com/v7/shop/?page=shop/flypage&category_id=8f6aed4ff8eee8d8f076b6f3840fd50a&product_id=1625)

I just snatched one off eBay for $22.51 ($10.51 + $12 shipping).  ;D

Just got mine delivered today, it's huge, but seems solid.  Now to find the adapters...
