it sucks. I knew it was not going to be great, but the record volume must have been set low, because when I replayed it I could hardly hear it. So I used Audiocity to normalize. BUT now its bassy sometimes. Anything I could do differently to make it louder without too much distortion? Its a Sarah McLachlan show from Fairfax, VA lastnight, so I would really like to get it so its listenable....at least for my ears.
???

actually I jsut saw someone else taped the same show!!! I am not gonna worry about mine now...I have another show next Fri to go to, so I can try again, and be more careful this time. This same problem happend with my first recording too, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
It is an MZR900. I dont know how to get the vocals louder while recording? I also use a juicebox and my mics are the cheap SP...$40. I forget which they are off the top of my head.

I'm assuming you mean a Jukebox.
SP-BMC-2? http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-BMC-2
SP-BMC-9? http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-BMC-9
...Those are the two I saw on SP for $40.

This happens to me. You can use the amplify effect in audacity, but be carefull cos' too much and it'll start clipping

I use the BMC-2--just to start out....this is my first real attempt at taping and I am not doing a very good job at it , lol

Actually, the juicebox is a power supply (ie, batery box).

My mistake. Hadn't heard of that.
