Anyone around NYC interested in hearing these ?
I have spoken to a dealer who is going to be setting up an audition.
Shrimp Pre and Mahis
From what I understand, these don't hang around long enough to do a walk in listen.
I'd usually think that to be hype, but after calling ten dealers in the area, I'm starting to buy it.
I'd like to get a few folks with a few good live recordings to unnerve the dealer a bit.
Maybe even bring in a test CD or two as well.

nice.
I love the Manley sound. Snappers are my goal.
:)

If I attended that, I have a feeling my creditors would *really* like me...

when? where?
Excellent question !
I thought that I'd have gotten an appointment by now.
I'm writing Manley again.
I was hoping for sometime this rainy weekend.

I was hoping for sometime this rainy weekend.
Hey now, the forecast is looking much better now, and the sky is blue. Can't ask for much more on a memorial day weekend can ya?... ok maybe a yard that you can BBQ in.
-
10 degrees warmer would be nice
-
OK, the Manley's are at a dealer at E.16th and Broadway
Anyone up for a listen let me know, I'm going in with an armload of discs on Saturday afternoon.
If you want a phone number or the specifics to go on your own schedule, PM me.
BTW, I wouldn't break out the camping gear, but the weekend is def looking up ! 8)

Ok, lets be honest, the weekend weather was dope, a few rain showers aside...
How did the Mahi's sound?

Hey all...
shameless plug for myself....
I can get VERY good deals on Manley products.
these Mahi's run $2500 a pair.
I can get them for about $2000 + shipping.
-
Must...resist...toobs...
-
tell me about it !
$2k is still fucking expensive for a piece of the chain.
is to me any way.
-
Yep. I'd love to do 902>Mahi's, but damn, the $$ is steep! I'll probably *settle* for a stingray in the end. Boohoo! ;)
-
thats a rough thing to settle for.
I sometimes wish my listening room was smaller so I could run stingray>VR2 or VR1/sub.
902>snappers though.
dammmnnnnn fine sounding hi-fi that would make.
