i have a question about ps-2... is there a l/r channel designation?
i see that the xlr inputs are labeled 1 and 2... but the output is a wierd slave type cord. the box shows the out as 1 and 2, but i am not 100% understaning it... it looks like the xlr out that has the 2 cords in it (1 to the box and the other to the 2nd xlr out) is mic 1, which would make the other one mic 2.
so if i understand it correctly, the mic 1 / mic 2 thing has no prefrence on left / right, so long as which every input you choose, you pick the same output.
how does that work if you are using a hosa adapter that takes a dual female xlr to a 1/8 stereo mini... i thought stereo mini plug (the whole TRS thing) would designate left and right... so wouldnt it be prudent to have the left and right channel on the proper signal path?
thanks for the help with my ???

Hook up your mics > PS-2 > Hosa adapter > deck, put deck in record mode, and gently tap, or blow into, one of the mics. Note on the deck (or listen through headphones) which channel corresponds to which mic input. For myself, I plug the left mic into Mic 1, and right into Mic 2. If the channels seem reversed, unplug the Hosa adapter and swap XLR connectors so that the resulting output on the TRS side matches.

thanks... i went ahead and did this anyways... i was just wondering if there was a cut and dry corelation with the numbers/chanels/trs.... time to bust out the ol' red electrical tape and destin some inputs.

Pretty sure 1 is left 2 is right. The XLR with both cords coming out of it is the left.

I didn't think it mattered. You have two inputs, two outputs. You can line them up any way you like. Just make sure that if you plug your left mic into jack 1, then take it out from output 1 and go into the left input of your Hosa box.
The PS-2 does not care about stereo, it simply powers two mono lines. What you decide is left or right is up to you. Just make sure you keep it straight in your head. My PS-2 has a small diagram on the top that shows the correlation. It would probably help to hook it up one channel at a time. Left first, then right, etc.

Good point, I was just referring to how Denecke technically has it setup in relation to the AD-20.
