Title: anyone have huge AT853 windscreens?

will the Shure ones work? others? i'd like to build furry rats to go over them. thanks......

Check the AT853 mic outer diameter v. the Shure A81WS or DPA UA0896 inner diameter slots - I think you'll find the mics are far smaller than the inner diameter slots in the windscreens and would prove too loosy goosy to effectively stay put.  'Course, AT853 + small screen + Shure/DPA might do the trick, but I've not tried it so have no idea if it'll work.  Check the Archive | Mic Setup forum for a thread on windscreens with a link to one possible source for w/s that may fit - Olsen Audio, if memory serves.

I have the Audix micros and use the AT8117 screens and they seem to work well so far.  They are actually made for the AT853

T's around. Thanks for the tips. Those AT8117's + dead rats are gonna do the trick, I think. :)
