Title: Marantz PMD 660 (opinions needed)
Post by: kmageau on June 15, 2005, 01:16:40 PM
I am new to taping and want to get into it as inexpensively as possible. I have done some research and the Marantz PMD 660 has caught my eye. I am looking for some advice as to the pros and cons of this unit. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Also, I am curious if anyone is using this unit

what kind of accessories would I need for soundboard board patche?

What's an inexpensive good sounding set of mikes?

Thanks,
Keith

if you are looking for inexpensive and easy to use, look no futher than the JB3 .
i believe the marantz pmd 660 DOES NOT have an optical in.
in addition to the price of the recorder, you will also need to purchase CF cards which i believe run for about $150 for a 2 GB card. anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
+t and welcome
