Hello
I have a question about mics. I just purchased a sony pc101 camcorder. I know that the audio on most camcoder sucks so Im looking for a external mic, and yes I have the line in on the cam. My budget is tight I am considering these two mics core sounds sp-bmc-2 and this realistic mic

any suggestions or thoughts about either? I do have a pcm-1 that I can record onto. Any help would be appricated. Thanks

99cents for a mic?!
Don't expect anything better out of those than the camera mic. They may even be worse.
If you have a LINE IN you will need a microphone pre-amp, and mic power. I would go visit soundprofessionals.com they probably have something that would work for you. I've never used any of their products so hopefully someone else could suggest something from them.
I'm not a real big fan of Core-Sounds cust. service. I have a set of their mics and they are okay, though.

Thanks for the reply
Another filmier swears by this mic so I figured I would give it consideration
I was thinking of running the sp-bmc2's into core sounds mini batt module with bass roll off.
I'll probably try both mics and see what happens. Any other thoughts?
