Saw an AD for these mics in a recent AES Journal. I decided to see what they were all about. Received a brochure (PDF) and price list.
The SM4000 series microphone is an omni mic, no cards, or hypers. These are made in China and I have no idea what the quality or sound is. They didn't even have a frequency chart on them, so I couldn't tell what the deal was.
Prices:
SM4001 (Best model) $450 Each (30 day lead time)
SM4005 (Better Model. claims same specs, just slightly different materials) $189 Each (30 day lead time)
SM4006 (Good model) $103 (30 day lead time)
SM400K (All three mics?) $672 (30 day lead time)
