I'm psyched I won a gently used JB3 w/ 2 batteries, case, fw/usb cables, etc. for $220. Seems like a fair deal considering the extra and similar to recent auctions I watched. I crapped my pants when a 40G w/ 1 battery & fw/usb just went for $81.00 while I was at the movies.
If you want to share my loss or help me celebrate buyer's remorse....check it out at:

My maiden voyage will be the July 13 Allman's show in Columbus, OH...anybody wanna meet up? Buy you a beer....

$81 is a good deal on ANY jb3... esp a 40gig...
noting the picture, the power cord is plugged in... could be nothing, or the battery could be shot... not that it matters now...
congrats on your purchase... the extra battery will be handy.
+T to get you rolling.

Don't the 40GB say 40GB right on the JB3? The picture's kinda bad, but I can't really see the 40GB where it should say it. Did they not put the 40GB thing on all of the 40GB machines?

Mine indicates "40GB" in the top right corner of the face. You can't miss it.

Yeah, that ebay "40GBer" doesn't seem to have that on it. Hmm....

Well I have an 80 GB JB3, but it says 20 on the case.
The drives are pretty easy to replace. That's probably how it became a 40.
