Title: A very weird problem(AT943s)...
Post by: audBall on June 29, 2005, 11:17:56 AM
AT943s > (into Dual female 1/8"-to-1/8" male) >  Battery Box(SPSB-6) > 1/8" to XLR > AD/20 > JB3

I should note here that the 943s each terminate to their own 1/8" and go into a (Dual Female 1/8"-to-1/8" male).  The JB3 was only recognizing one channel.  I was getting nothing from the other.  So, I switch the two mics that are going into dual female 1/8" to make sure that both mics are working.  They are, but that one channel (I'm assuming its the dual female-to-male plug) in the cable doesn't work....

HOWEVER....
I tried this before work this morning.....
AT943s >(into Dual female 1/8"-to-1/8" male) > Battery Box > JB3
and both channels worked.

Any thoughts?!?
Thanks.

the issue could be the cables that are 1/8 > xlr or the anything after that...

it could be something as simple as the plug just wasnt sitting correctly in the jb3... my first attempt with the spsb-7 had me freaking for that reason.

i know nothing

The area surround the line in/opt in jack is indented a little.

I had the same problem when i taped Primus a while back and a few pointed out that the mini plug is probably not sitting in tightly.  They were right when i tried taping again with the njb3 and found one of the channel's dropping out and less bass in the recording.
