Title: Help with corrupted Host file

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with fixing corrupted host files. I run Windows 2000 Professional and have been using bittornado for bittorrent downloads. Somehow my host files were corrupted after my last session and I can no longer download anything by clicking on a link, bittorrent, or any direct internet connection. The error message I get whenever I try to download from any site is as follows.

"You are not authorized to view this page" and at the bottom of the blank internet page it says,

"HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
Internet Explorer"

I've tried contacting different websites and they all tell me the same thing, that my host file is corrupt, but they never tell me how to fix it. I can't re-install anything because it won't allow mw to download anything. Is this possible to fix???? I hope someone is familiar with this problem.
